Associate Product Manager - Wound Care

Essential Functions:
The Associate Product Manager, Advanced Wound Care will be responsible for working closely with the other Wound Care marketing team members, the Director of Wound Care Sales, and the VP Wound Care to develop strategic initiatives to increase sales, successfully launch new products and drive patient and customer loyalty.
 
Strategic Planning:
  • Develop strategic plans to maximize the effectiveness of new product introductions.
  • Develop and implement cohesive branding strategies.
  • Develop and  implement  short  and  long  term  marketing  plans  for  designated  area  of responsibility.
  • Develop detailed launch plans to ensure successful new product launches.
  • Develop pricing strategies to optimally position Wound Care products within the BSN medical portfolio, as well as the marketplace. 
Marketing Responsibility:
  • Develop training materials related to all aspects of the product portfolio.
  • Plan and execute new hire training.
  • Coordinate with sales to fine tune launch plan and successful product implementation.
  • Coordinate and ensure follow through on marketing plans and programs with US sales teams.
  • Define the requirements for product training seminars.  Assists in product and sales training.
  • Monitor competitive activity with competing product lines.
  • Develop  and  maintains  availability  of  product  literature,  technical  information,  competitor information, sales information, customer training materials, samples and product availability information to the distributors and Sales Representatives.
  • Develop forecast by product and/or product line. 
Financial Responsibility:
  • Maintain and monitors sales and profit margins for product line.
  • Manage expense related to the area of responsibility.
  • Develop, recommend and manage annual A&P budget. 
Communication:
  • Establish positive working relationships with all relevant BSN medical peripheral teams, especially Sales, Customer Service, R&D, Global Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
  • Provide programs, pricing, and literature and product information to the Sales organization as well as distribution channels.
  • Provide field assistance to sales team.
  • Develop working relationships with key decision makers to expand business base through value added activity. 
Product Development/Portfolio Management
  • Assist in the identification/initiation/development of product improvements/line extensions and new product design.
  • Manage product phase- outs as to inventory availability and consumption.
  • Integrate new products, including acquisitions, into the overall portfolio.
  • Partner with Global Marketing and R&D to identify and vet new product opportunities.
  • Negotiate agreements with outside vendor(s) as needed. 
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • BS degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Management, Healthcare or related field.
  • 2-5 years Healthcare Sales / Marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills and expertise in conducting internal and in-market seminars.
  • Ability to understand US reimbursement systems for lymphedema products.
  • Strong interpersonal, persuasive and negotiation skills required.
  • Strong organizational and planning skill.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quantitative, financial and computer skills, especially MS Office Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Travel 10% - 20% domestically.
