Essential Functions:
The Regional Marketing Director Medical - US is responsible for management of Domestic Marketing to support global business strategies in Phlebology, Lymphology, Acute and Advanced Woundcare, Orthopedics, and special market segments.  The primary objective is the development and achievement of U.S. Sales/Marketing plan to achieve sales/profit objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Development and implementation of domestic marketing strategies to achieve business objectives in close coordination with Global Marketing. Strategic planning will focus on market penetration and growth initiatives.
  • Marketing Plans-: Develop and implement annual Product Marketing Plan (PMP), specifying all Marketing programs, new products and product launches.
  • Product Development and Innovation:  New product development with coordinated effort involving Global Marketing, Global R&D, Manufacturing and Sales.  Establish Marketing Specifications and manage Product Development timetables to achieve on-time product launch dates.
  • Financial Planning/Budgets:  Provide input into annual sales budgets and five-year business plan. Achieve budgeted sales objectives. Coordinate related activities including forecasts, product launches, materials, etc. to achieve Marketing budget.
  • Marketing Programs Administration: Provide direction to advertising agencies / consultants for the development and support of marketing programs.
  • Business Relationships:  Establish positive working relationships and communications with the Essity Marketing Leadership, Commercial Director of Orthopedic Sales, Commercial Director of Consumer Health  and Wound Care Sales and the Key Account Director US Medical.  Assure coordinated effort in providing programs, pricing, literature and other information to the Sales organizations and distribution channels.
  • Employee Development: Continuously provide training and development opportunities to increase marketing expertise and capacity.
  • Cost Management: Contribute to company profit goals by continuously driving cost and process improvements.
  • Market Knowledge:  Develop and maintain key external professional relationships to facilitate marketplace awareness of new technology and market trends.  Awareness of market positioning and competitor strengths/weaknesses. 
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree Marketing, Business or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of Marketing and / or Sales experience required. 
  • Project management experience.
  • International experience preferred.
  • Strong managerial skills must be utilized to ensure that these requirements are properly coordinated and provide the optimum sales and profit levels for the group.
  • Experience in medical device industry preferred.
  • Quantitative, financial and computer skills.
